Country Life

It's 4.30 pm and I'm sitting at a lecture about literary science or something like that. It's raining outside and I feel like leaving. The lecture is once again pretty pointless because the professor is just talking and talking but there's no real structure in his speech. So I'm tired and not really patient enough to concentrate on his words.

Actually what I wanted to write about is the past weekend. We went to Saaremaa with Kirke( she gave me permission to use her name so from now on K is Kirke) to visit her grandparents and get away for the weekend. The whole weekend was pretty wet and windy but I really enjoyed myself. There's just something about going to the countryside. No stress, no worries to sum it up I guess. We took down some branches, re-planted some bushes, hung out by the ocean and ate truckloads of food. Kirke's grandmother makes really good food and out of respect I gave in on my beliefs and ate some meat that she had prepared. It's not like it's the end of the world but I still feel a bit guilty for it. But the food was great and on sunday afternoon my belly was so full that the next time I could even think about putting somethingin my mouth was around 11 pm when we were back in Tartu. but it was nice to sped time in Saaremaa and we even found time to visit my grandmother for a few minutes. I hope I can go back to Saaremaa and to my summer cottage during this autumn but we'll see.

Now I'm back in Tartu and the weather is pretty much the same as it was during the weekend. Right now It's raining and I took my cruiser deck to this lecture while it was still dry but I'll probably have to carry it back home. I didn't mention it before but I got myself a new skateboard for cruising around. A perfect 70's style Dogtown deck with 66mm soft wheels and fast bearings. It rolls perfectly smooth and I really enjoy riding it to school everyday. Two days to go and then it's the weekend again because I have fridays off. My motivation for school is still a bit lost but I'm doing my best to go to lectures and get all my things done. Yesterday I was pretty active and got all my papers sent to Finland after some byrocracy from the university.

On friday I'll go to Tallinn for the weekend to play golf which I'm also really looking forward to. I haven't played in a while and my dad is bringing my golfbag and other stuff to Tallinn so I'll get to play with my own clubs. It's going to be interesting because on saturday we are going to be competing on the final stop of the Family Tour. That means that me and Kirke are going to be a team and play one ball. I hope I'll manage to keep my head cool and not get into any fights with Kirke on or off the course. I'm sure it's going to be heaps of fun and I hope we'll find time to play on friday or sunday as well.

That's it. Musically I'm trying to form tracklists for some new mixes and hopefully I'll find time to play and record them soon. I have about 5 different projects I'd like to get done before christmas but we'll see how many I can actually get together. Here's a tune thats been my going to sleep-tune for the past week. Perfect soul music!
