Still haven't succeeded in studying that much today but I'm feeling better. I just started thinking about music, specifically reggae and dancehall music. I thought I'd list some of my favorite tunes from 2010 as an intro to the mixtape that I'm planning on making before the weekend which will consist of all my favorite tunes from 2010. So here it goes, the biggest tunes of 2010!
J Boog - Let's do it again
This tune came out of the bushes to become the biggest reggae tune of the year. J Boog hails from the island of Hawaii and was picked up by Don Corleon for this riddim and the result is pure sweetness. The Major riddim has multiple tunes on it that are huge but this one takes the crown.
Romain Virgo - Dark Skin Girl
This one came out on Romain's debut album and blew up the bank. Sweet love tune with a positive riddim and his voice and flow of lyrics are at it's best here.
Beenie Man ft.Fambo - Drinking Rum&Red Bull
I guess there is no reason to introduce this song. It has been played everywhere this year and has become the nr.1 party tune of the year. I still listen to this a lot and I can't wait to buss it at future parties. I hope Estonian sounds would play this more often too.
I-Octane - My Life
Not just this tune but all of I-Octane's tunes this year have gotten a lot of plays everywhere. He is without a doubt the newcomer of the year alongside Khago. Tunes like Mama you alone, Love, Study your friends, Lose a friend and Nuh love inna dem have opened a lot of mixes and you can expect a lot more from him in 2011.
Konshens - Realest song
I think this one came out in 2009 but I found it in 2010 and it quickly became a part of my feel better tune arsenal. Keep badmind outta yuh heart!
